Be the envy of your Thanksgiving gathering. Some might bring homemade pies, or a sweet potato casserole, but only you will bring comestibles that actively support Open Source maintainers.
Order now for $13.37Compiled from the best ingredients Cape Cod has to offer, it’s the perfect build for anyone who likes their sauce clean and fresh; tart, but beautifully balanced.
Deploy it to your sandwiches, your charcuterie boards, or skip all that and just fork it straight from the jar. Dinner parties, late night leftover sessions, crunch mode — it’s perfect in any .env.
Made with simple, clean ingredients and a commit-ment to quality, it’s a delicious nod to Cape Cod’s organic farming tradition that will merge right into any meal (and every jar sold supports Open Source devs!)
Ingredients: Organic fresh cranberries (local ingredient), organic cane sugar, water. Gluten free, sodium free, certified organic.
All Proceeds Go to Open Source Maintainers
Every penny made from sOSS sales goes towards supporting the Open Source maintainers we all depend on.
But which maintainers? The Open Source ecosystem is complex, and keystone maintainers are difficult to identify.
That's where thanks.dev comes in, who have used their dependency analysis model to create a weighted list of the 1000 most depended upon Open Source maintainers globally.
No model is perfect, and we certainly haven't been able to include all keystone maintainers. But we think the distribution thanks.dev came up with makes a lot of sense. And you don't have to take our word for it. In the spirit of transparency, our funding distribution is public.
FAQs
Is this real?
Yes.
Isn’t this kinda stupid? There are easier, cheaper ways to get cranberry sauce.
No, not kinda stupid. VERY stupid. But…would you be paying attention if it weren’t? The sustainability crisis in OSS — and maintainers in general — need more attention, and more money to support them. Hopefully, Cranberry sOSS provides both.
Do maintainers need our help, really?
Yes, really. In fact, a recent report by University of Edinburgh PhD researcher Miranda Heath outlined the many challenges maintainers face, which often lead to burnout and global security vulnerabilities.
Where do you ship to?
We ship internationally, but are sadly unable to ship to some countries. Read our shipping policy to learn more.
How long will it take to get my sOSS?
We're doing our best to ensure US customers can get their sOSS before Thanksgiving, but we unfortunately can't make any guarantees.
Where can I reach you?

Who's responsible for this?
